For more than 25 years, Kevin has had oversight roles for a variety of research and surveillance projects funded by government and private sponsors. Notable among these was the CDC Vaccine Safety Surveillance and Assessment Projects from 2002 to 2013 which included the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD), the Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) and a number of other related projects under a single umbrella contract. These projects had budgets of up to $20 million per year and engaged collaborators from among health plans, academic medical centers, and private-sector research organizations through more than 20 individual subcontractors. Kevin led a team in supervising subcontractor activities and managed the budgeting of projects on an annual basis.
